A devotee of the great Classical piano literature, Dmitriy continues to pursue new challenges and expand his repertoire. Known* for his passion for the music of Haydn, Beethoven, Chopin, Rachmaninoff and Scriabin, he has presented recitals featuring their music in a variety of settings. What he lacks in note-perfect polish onstage, he makes up for with his enthusiastic and occasionally flippant commentary. Here are some recent recordings, made in his most recent New York apartment.
Rachmaninoff Etude-tableau Op. 39 #6
Beethoven Piano Sonata #29 in B-flat Major, 4th movement (Fugue)
Rachmaninoff Prelude Op. 32 #12
To quote the great Victor Borge, "I don't usually take requests... unless, of course, I have been asked to do so." If you'd like for me to perform at your home for your guests, to accompany your chamber ensemble or to supply background music for a reception, let's talk!
